Meet the business - Ximi Vogue

We recently met up with Wasim, the manager of Ximi Vogue, a new store at Elmsleigh Centre and the first for the company in England!  We wanted to meet the business and find out more. This is what Wasim had to tell us:

  1. What is the story behind Ximi Vogue?
  • Ximi Vogue offer household, fashion, and overall good quality products at affordable prices. I first became involved with them four to five years ago and this is the first store in the UK. They have around 3,000 stores in 84 countries around the world.
  1. Why do you think that Staines is a good location for your brand?
  • The team explored many towns in the UK but Staines was felt to be the best choice due to the age demographics of the population, also the community there. It was therefore recommended for the first Ximi Vogue store.
  1. What does your day-to-day job involve?
  • Aside from managing the store and staff, I’m mainly involved in expanding the brand across the UK, in liaising with the brand regarding the products and getting the necessary approvals and documents to import them. We are planning to open stores at Lakeside, Westfield, and Southampton soon.
  1. What is your favourite part of the job?
  • It is interacting with customers, getting compliments about the variety and quality of products in our store, analysing gaps in the market and sourcing these products.
  1. What expansion plans do you have for Ximi Vogue?
  • There are three more stores already planned for the UK, as mentioned. We hope to be able to open 80 in the UK during the next 5 years.
  1. If you had to describe Ximi Vogue products in 3 words, what would they be?
  • Quality. Affordable. Cute.
  1. Which social media channel could you not live without?
  • We have Facebook and Instagram currently. Instagram is my favourite as it is pictorial so is best for our products.
  1. What would a perfect day look like for you?
  • A Saturday! We have the most customers in-store on that day and I like to interact with them.
  1. What is your guilty pleasure?
  • I don’t really have one!
  1. Which superpower would you like to have?
  • I have the power to open 80 stores within 5 years, create job opportunities and bring in the best quality products at affordable rates.
