Charity partnership success

Following a local appeal in spring 2022, Shooting Star Children's Hospices was the successful organisation chosen to partner with The Elmsleigh Centre as their nominated charity of the year. The partnership kicked off in July 2022, running until end of June 2023.

There has been a fantastic year of brand-building and fundraising, leading to an amazing achievement of £3,260.24 having been raised for Shooting Star Children's Hospices! This smashed the original target of £2,500.

The teams have worked together on some great in-centre initiatives, including Shooting Star Children's Hospices 'Friendlies' Trails, fundraising stalls with giant games, colouring, toy tombola's, bake sales, and more, plus some fantastic Santa and gift wrap services in the lead up to Christmas 2022.

On announcing the total raised, Jane De Lay, Head of Community Engagement at Shooting Star Children's Hospices commented: "we are so grateful to The Elmsleigh Centre for supporting us over the last year and to have raised such a wonderful amount. Their support and the money raised means so much to us all at Shooting Star Children's Hospices and will help us to continue to be there for families who need us most."

Kam Purewal, Marketing Manager of The Elmsleigh Centre said: "we are keen to be involved with our local community, so Shooting Star Children's Hospices was a great fit as our charity partner. We have enjoyed providing a platform for them to fundraise in our shopping centre and were so happy to have beaten our initial target to raise £3,260.24 for this deserving charity. We wish to say a huge thank you to all who have generously donated and come along to take part in the events."
