Elmsleigh Shopping Centre and Staines Shopmobility have teamed up to promote their local town and celebrate the creative skills of residents from the area, whilst raising money to provide funding for Staines Shopmobility, a charity which assists people from Staines-upon-Thames and the surrounding area who have limited mobility.

They are currently running a competition to select the best 12 seasonal amateur photos to feature in a 2018 calendar of Staines-upon-Thames landmarks and key areas.  Sponsored by Elmsleigh Shopping Centre, the calendars will be sold to raise money for Staines Shopmobility. Those lucky enough to have their photos selected will also receive a voucher prize.

Kam Purewal, Marketing Manager of Elmsleigh Shopping Centre commented: ‘we have a good number of local residents coming forward to show off their photography and are receiving some fantastic images of our town.  We see this as a celebration of all that is good and attractive about Staines-upon-Thames and are aiming to create memories that will last all year whilst raising funds for a deserving local charity in Staines Shopmobility’.

David Bisiker, Manager of Staines Shopmobility added:  ‘this fantastic venture allows the community to join in whilst deriving pleasure from getting recognition of theirphotography skills.  The fundraising for Shopmobility also gives to our local area and supports the people who live and work here’.

The competition will be available to enter until Friday 20th October.  After that, an independent panel of judges will select the winning photos.  Those wishing to enter need to submit their photo and complete the form on the Elmsleigh Shopping Centre website (www.elmsleigh.co.uk) or via their Facebook page. Terms and conditions apply.
